It has been quiet on here for a while, but we have certainly been busy during the off-season. As we look forward to our next race at Watkins Glen in just over a week, here is a quick recap of what we have been up to:
- Entering two cars to compete at the 24 Hour race last year was extraordinarily tough. What started with high hopes, turned into high expectations as we rocketed to P1 in the first stint and stayed there for hours, then turned into a high-stress weekend when we faced numerous mechanical failures and other problems, despite so many team members best efforts. Mistakes were made, but we learned a lot.
- We entered the SCCA 13-hour enduro at VIR. Despite a relatively under-prepped car, and being one of the least prepared team in the paddock, we still had a strong showing with the possibility of a top-10 overall finish. Our luck ran out with less than 1 hour to go with a mechanical failure (which turned out to be failing fuel injectors), we still managed to finish 21st out of 45. We sincerely hope that SCCA runs this event again, we will definitely enter it!
